Merchandiser - Diamond Jewellery

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Diamond Jewellery Merchandiser with strong knowledge of diamond jewellery products, merchandising, product development and commercial coordination.

The candidate will be responsible for managing product requirements, coordinating with internal teams and ensuring timely execution of jewellery assortments in line with business and customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day merchandising activities for diamond jewellery.

• Coordinate with Design, Production, Procurement, QC, Sales and Inventory teams.

• Understand product requirements and translate them into actionable product briefs.

• Plan and manage jewellery assortments based on market and customer requirements.

• Coordinate product development from concept to production.

• Monitor product costs, pricing and margins.

• Coordinate diamond and jewellery requirements with procurement teams.

• Ensure product specifications, quality and timelines are met.

• Track samples, approvals, production status and deliveries.

• Analyse product performance and identify opportunities for assortment improvement.

• Maintain product data, specifications, costing and merchandising MIS.

• Support inventory planning and ensure availability of required products.

• Identify market trends and competitor/product opportunities.

• Resolve product, quality and delivery issues through effective cross-functional coordination.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of diamond jewellery and product merchandising.

• Understanding of diamonds, jewellery specifications and costing.

• Strong coordination and follow-up skills.

• Good commercial and analytical ability.

• Strong MS Excel and MIS skills.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.

• Ability to manage multiple products and timelines simultaneously.

Qualification & Experience

• Graduate preferred.

• 5+ years of experience in diamond jewellery merchandising.

• Experience in jewellery manufacturing/export companies preferred.

• Experience working in a fast-paced jewellery environment is an advantage.
