Merchandiser

Key Responsibilities

• Handle buyer orders from development stage through final shipment.
• Communicate with buyers regarding styles, specifications, prices, approvals, and delivery schedules.
• Coordinate sampling, fabric, trims, accessories, and other requirements.
• Prepare and maintain order sheets, Time & Action (T&A) calendars, and production follow-up reports.
• Follow up with fabric and trims suppliers to ensure timely availability.
• Coordinate with production, cutting, finishing, and packing departments.
• Monitor production progress and ensure delivery schedules are achieved.
• Check and follow up on sample approvals, lab dips, strike-offs, fit samples, PP samples, and size sets.
• Coordinate with the quality team to ensure products meet buyer specifications and quality standards.
• Prepare costing and support price negotiations when required.
• Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, approvals, specifications, and shipment details.
• Identify production or delivery issues and coordinate with relevant teams for timely resolution.
• Coordinate with the commercial and logistics teams for shipment documentation and dispatch.
• Ensure all buyer requirements and compliance standards are followed.
• Provide regular order status updates to management and buyers.

Required Skills

• Good knowledge of garment manufacturing and export merchandising.
• Strong understanding of fabrics, trims, garments, construction, and production processes.
• Good communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple styles/orders simultaneously.
• Good knowledge of MS Excel, Word, and email communication.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Good written and verbal English communication.

Qualification

• Graduate in Fashion/Apparel, Textile, Merchandising, or a related field preferred.
• Relevant experience in garment merchandising will be an advantage.
