We are seeking a Senior Merchandise Analyst Allocation to join our Allocation & Planning team at Fossil Group in Bengaluru, Karnataka. If you are passionate about retail analytics and enjoy driving inventory optimization through data-led decisions, this could be the perfect role for you. In this dynamic and global company, you will play a key role in enabling efficient inventory flow, maximizing sell-through, and supporting seasonal assortment strategies across Retail, Wholesale, and eCommerce channels.

What you will do in this role

Inventory Allocation & Planning

  • Drive and support sales and inventory strategies based on product category, style performance, and channel dynamics
  • Execute efficient inventory allocation across stores and eCommerce platforms aligned with assortment and demand plans
  • Manage replenishment strategies, stock transfers, returns, and inventory balancing to optimize availability and sell-through
  • Maintain Open-to-Buy (OTB) and calibrate demand based on sales performance and inventory levels

Merchandising Analytics & Insights

  • Analyze store performance using historical sales, trends, and seasonality to identify risks and opportunities
  • Evaluate SKU and assortment performance to support newness allocation and category strategies
  • Generate insights on sales, margin, markdowns, and inventory productivity to drive data-backed decisions
  • Support monthly and quarterly reviews of sales vs plan, highlighting key callouts and improvement areas

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Merchandising, Planning, Supply Chain, eCommerce, and Commercial teams to align inventory and business strategies
  • Support pre-season and in-season planning in collaboration with Demand Planning and GTM teams
  • Work closely with Store Operations, Distribution Centres, and Visual Merchandising to ensure seamless execution

Operational Excellence & Governance

  • Ensure accuracy in allocation execution, inventory control, and data integrity across systems
  • Drive process adherence, timely replenishment, and efficient stock movement across channels
  • Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies to ensure smooth operations
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies, audit requirements, and data governance standards

Who You Are

  • 35 years of experience in Merchandising, Allocation, or Inventory Planning, preferably in retail or eCommerce environments
  • Strong understanding of merchandising concepts, assortment planning, and inventory allocation principles
  • Solid analytical skills with the ability to interpret data into actionable business decisions
  • Good understanding of demand planning, supply chain basics, and stock optimization strategies
  • Awareness of financial impact of inventory including sales, margins, and markdowns
  • Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • High attention to detail, agility, and ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment
  • Excellent communication, prioritization, and problem-solving skills
