Job Summary:The MEP Project Engineer will be responsible for the planning, coordination, and execution of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems in industrial projects. The role involves ensuring that all MEP works are completed as per design, quality standards, safety norms, and within the defined timeline and budget.
Key Responsibilities:- Review and understand MEP drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
- Coordinate with design consultants, architects, and other engineering disciplines.
- Supervise site execution of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire-fighting, and instrumentation works.
- Prepare work schedules, material requirements, and manpower planning.
- Monitor progress and ensure timely completion of MEP works as per project schedule.
- Conduct inspections to maintain quality and compliance with standards.
- Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors for MEP installations.
- Prepare and verify BOQs, cost estimates, and material submittals.
- Ensure adherence to all safety protocols and statutory norms at the site.
- Support commissioning and testing of MEP systems.
- Prepare daily and weekly progress reports for management review.
Skills & Competencies:- Strong knowledge of industrial MEP systems (HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire-fighting).
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, and MS Project (or equivalent planning tools).
- Good understanding of project execution processes and site management.
- Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and work independently under pressure.
Qualifications:- B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering.
- 27 years of relevant experience in industrial MEP project execution.
- Experience in industrial plants, manufacturing facilities, or process-based projects will be an added advantage.
