What You'll Do

Site Execution

  • Own day-to-day MEP execution on assigned project sites electrical, HVAC, plumbing, fire-fighting, low-voltage, and AV-related services.
  • Lead MEP contractors, sub-contractors, and technicians; set daily and weekly targets and hold them.
  • Run the daily MEP coordination meeting on site; resolve clashes, sequence work, and unblock contractors.
  • Coordinate closely with the Senior Civil Engineer and finishing teams on chases, cutouts, sleeves, and service penetrations before walls and ceilings close.

Drawings & Shop Approvals

  • Read and execute against GFC drawings single-line diagrams, services layouts, riser diagrams, and shop drawings.
  • Vet contractor shop drawings, equipment submittals, and material samples against specifications; coordinate approvals with the MEP Engineer and consultants.
  • Mark up as-built changes on site; maintain a clean drawing register with the latest revisions in use.
  • Raise RFIs to the design team where field conditions don't match drawings; close them in writing.

Quality Control

  • Enforce installation quality against specifications cable routing, conduiting standards, earthing values, duct insulation, pipe pressure tests, sprinkler spacing, lux levels.
  • Witness critical activities: panel installations, cable laying and termination, HVAC equipment installation, pump installations, fire hydrant pressure tests, DG set commissioning.
  • Maintain quality registers, test reports, calibration certificates, and non-conformance closure documentation audit-ready at all times.
  • Coordinate third-party testing where required and ensure results meet IS code and CPWD/PWD norms.

Testing & Commissioning

  • Plan and run T&C activities — insulation resistance, earth pit values, hi-pot, hydraulic pressure tests, HVAC testing and balancing (TAB), fire pump performance, DG load tests, AV signal checks.
  • Coordinate statutory inspections Electrical Inspector (CEIG/CEI), Fire NOC, lift inspector and close compliance points.
  • Lead handover: O&M manuals, as-built drawings, warranty certificates, training of client's facility team, and the snag closure list.

Museums & Heritage Execution

  • Execute gallery lighting installations to design intent beam control, focusing, dimming setup, DMX/DALI commissioning.
  • Coordinate conservation HVAC commissioning temperature, humidity, and filtration setpoints with curators and exhibition designers.
  • Sequence AV, projection, immersive theatre, and interactive kiosk installations into the civil and finishing handover plan without last-minute clashes.
  • Execute services in heritage envelopes with minimally invasive methods agreed with the design team.

Billing & Procurement Support

  • Verify MEP contractor RA bills and sub-contractor measurements against drawings and installed work.
  • Raise material indents in line with the company's indent-to-PO-to-GRN workflow; project long-lead items (panels, chillers, DG sets, AV equipment) early.
  • Track wastage and reconcile material consumption; flag overruns to the Project Manager.
  • Approve technical specifications and substitutions in coordination with the MEP Engineer.

Reporting

  • Submit a weekly MEP progress report physical progress, contractor manpower, material status, T&C status, and snags.
  • Maintain a live snag list per service per area; drive closure week on week.
  • Flag risks to the schedule early material delays, contractor mobilisation, statutory approvals to the Project Manager and the Planning Engineer.
