ALFA PUMPS (P) LIMITED is establishing a state-of-the-art APPL Smart Factory at Karjan, Vadodara, spread over 2 lakh square feet designed to be a model of advanced engineering, digital manufacturing, and sustainable infrastructure.

The facility will house precision pump manufacturing, testing, assembly, warehousing, and R&D functions.

We are seeking a MEP & Project Engineer to lead the complete setup from utilities and infrastructure to machinery installation and plant readiness.

The MEP & Project Engineer will be responsible for the complete mechanical, electrical, plumbing, utility, and infrastructure setup for the Smart Factory project.

This includes planning, design coordination, vendor management, and on-site supervision for machinery installation, utility integration, warehouse setup, and operational infrastructure commissioning.

• Plan and execute the complete MEP scope electrical, HVAC, compressed air, process utilities, fire-fighting, water systems, and drainage.
• Review design drawings, layouts, BOQs, and specifications from consultants and vendors.
• Coordinate with civil, architectural, and process equipment teams for seamless integration.
• Develop project timelines, monitor milestones, and ensure on-time delivery.

• Lead installation, alignment, and commissioning of all manufacturing machinery and production lines.
• Plan utility points and interconnections for machines (power, compressed air, cooling, etc.).
• Oversee setup of storage areas, material handling systems, and logistics layouts.
• Ensure proper foundation design, vibration control, and safety for heavy equipment.
• Liaise with OEMs and contractors during installation and trial runs.

• Plan and commission transformers, panels, DG sets, UPS, lighting, HVAC, and fire-fighting systems.
• Establish plant utilities including compressed air, cooling water, process water, and effluent systems.
• Supervise setup of administrative, R&D, and testing facilities.
• Ensure compliance with local codes, energy efficiency norms, and safety standards.

• Maintain detailed records of project progress, material tracking, and site activities.
• Support management in CAPEX budgeting, vendor evaluation, and quality audits.
• Prepare project completion and handover documentation.

• B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years experience in industrial plant setup / MEP project execution (preferably in manufacturing or process industries).
• Strong knowledge of utility systems, industrial electrical installations, and mechanical services.
• Hands-on experience in machinery installation, alignment, and commissioning.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, MS Project, and site coordination tools.
• Excellent leadership, vendor management, and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of factory layout planning, storage systems, and material movement flow will be an advantage.
