Job Description

Title: MEP Engineer / Assistant General Manager (AGM) – MEP Projects

Location: Noida, Ghaziabad

Qualification: Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering discipline.

Experience:

  • 4-15 years of experience in MEP execution, coordination, project management, testing, and commissioning.
  • Experience in residential, commercial, mixed-use, high-rise, or large-scale construction projects preferred.

About the Role:

MEP Engineer / Assistant General Manager (AGM) – MEP Projects. The role is responsible for planning, execution, coordination, monitoring, testing, commissioning, and handover of Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing (MEP), HVAC, and Fire Fighting systems for residential, commercial, and high-rise development projects.

Candidates with 4-15 years of experience in MEP execution, coordination, project management, and building services are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

MEP Execution & Coordination:

  • Execute and manage Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC, Fire Fighting, and associated MEP works.
  • Ensure MEP activities are carried out as per approved drawings, specifications, project requirements, and applicable standards.
  • Review MEP drawings, shop drawings, coordinated drawings, layouts, BOQs, and technical specifications.
  • Coordinate with architects, consultants, contractors, subcontractors, and project teams for smooth execution.
  • Ensure effective coordination between MEP, civil, structural, architectural, and finishing works.

Planning & Project Management:

  • Prepare MEP execution plans, work schedules, manpower plans, and material requirement forecasts.
  • Monitor project progress against approved timelines and milestones.
  • Manage resources, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure timely completion of work.
  • Identify project risks, delays, technical challenges, and implement corrective measures.
  • Participate in progress review meetings and provide project status updates.

Technical & Quality Management:

  • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor installation quality and compliance.
  • Ensure adherence to approved specifications, quality standards, and statutory requirements.
  • Review material submittals, technical approvals, and procurement schedules.
  • Monitor Inspection Requests (IR), Material Inspection Requests (MIR), testing, commissioning, and approval processes.
  • Ensure timely snag rectification and successful project handover.

Testing & Commissioning:

  • Coordinate testing, balancing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of MEP systems.
  • Ensure HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, and associated systems are commissioned as per project requirements.
  • Maintain commissioning records, inspection reports, and handover documentation.

Commercial & Documentation:

  • Review BOQ quantities, measurements, contractor bills, variation orders, and extra items.
  • Monitor material consumption and minimize wastage.
  • Maintain project documentation, as-built drawings, progress reports, testing records, and handover documents.

Health, Safety & Compliance:

  • Ensure all MEP activities comply with HSE policies and safe working practices.
  • Identify and mitigate site safety risks.
  • Ensure proper housekeeping and safe work environments across all MEP work areas.

Technical Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, and Building Services systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret design drawings, shop drawings, coordinated drawings, and as-built drawings.
  • Knowledge of:
  • Electrical systems, cable trays, conduits, panels, DBs, earthing, and power distribution.
  • HVAC systems including AHUs, FCUs, ducting, piping, insulation, and ventilation.
  • Plumbing systems including water supply, drainage, sewage, pumps, tanks, and piping networks.
  • Fire Fighting systems including hydrants, sprinklers, fire pumps, and fire piping.
  • Understanding of testing, commissioning, balancing, and troubleshooting procedures.
  • Familiarity with relevant codes, standards, and quality requirements.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering discipline.
