Role Description This is a full-time, on-site MEP Engineer role based in Durgapur. The MEP Engineer will be responsible for designing, reviewing, and coordinating mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems for building projects, ensuring compliance with project specifications, standards, and regulations. Daily tasks include preparing and reviewing technical drawings and layouts, performing load calculations, and selecting appropriate equipment and materials. The role involves coordinating with architects, structural engineers, contractors, and vendors to resolve design and site issues, as well as monitoring installation, testing, and commissioning of building services. The MEP Engineer will also support project planning, prepare reports, assist with cost and quantity estimates, participate in site inspections, and contribute to quality and safety compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications
  • Strong knowledge of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems and building services, including design, installation, and commissioning.
  • Hands-on experience in plumbing design and coordination, including drainage, water supply, and related building services.
  • Proficiency in electrical engineering for building projects, including power distribution, lighting, and related MEP coordination.
  • Demonstrated ability in MEP coordination, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to integrate services within architectural and structural constraints.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering (or related discipline); relevant certifications in MEP or building services are an advantage.
  • Familiarity with relevant codes, standards, and local regulations for building services and safety.
  • Proficiency in technical tools such as AutoCAD or similar design software; exposure to BIM/Revit MEP is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively on-site and manage multiple priorities.
