MEP draughtsman

Role Description The MEP Draughtsman will be responsible for preparing detailed MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) drawings and layouts for a variety of building projects, ensuring accuracy and adherence to design standards and local codes. Day-to-day tasks include interpreting consultant and engineer inputs, updating drawings based on design changes, coordinating with project and site teams, and maintaining drawing documentation and revision logs. The role also involves assisting in clash detection, reviewing drawings for constructability, and supporting preparation of as-built drawings. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Navi Mumbai, requiring close collaboration with engineering and construction teams.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong drafting skills using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, or similar tools) for MEP layouts and detailed drawings.
• Candidates should possess knowledge of plumbing, sanitation, and firefighting systems, including relevant standards, codes, and installation practices.
• Candidates should possess skills in reading and interpreting architectural, structural, and MEP drawings and specifications.
• Candidates should possess attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple drawing revisions and deadlines.
• Candidates should possess effective communication and collaboration skills to work with engineers, project managers, and site teams.
• Diploma or certification in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or related engineering discipline, with specialized training in drafting or CAD, is preferred.
• Prior experience as an MEP or plumbing/firefighting draughtsman, especially in residential, commercial, or industrial projects, will be an advantage.
