MEP Design Engineer ( Electrical / Mechanical ) for Mall Project - Mumbai.

Role & responsibilities

Design Management: To review Electrical & ELV (FA, PA, CCTV, Voice, Data) DBR, Calculations, drawings from consultants and provide valuable inputs with regards to services to ensure that there are no gaps / omissions and the optimum services are being considered for execution of the job

Assist the Contracts team in preparing cost estimates, budgets, etc., as a subject matter expertise to ensure that there is no major deviations in cost estimates and also to provide feedback on services in existence and their durability / efficiency

Prepare the Budget.

Finalization of technical details, drawings, BOQ etc., of tender, floating the tender, arranging meeting with vendors, contractors.

Preparing techno commercial comparison.

Preparing and issuing LOI / WO / PO if required. Coordination with contractor for shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, and subsequently approval of same.

Undertake review, finalization of shop drawings in coordination with MEP/Services consultants and Project Architect

Preferred candidate profile

Understand and review the finalized architectural detailed drawings for the project, analyze feasibility from Electrical & ELV (FA, PA, CCTV, Voice, Data) Services perspective and resolve the queries/issues (if any) from Architectural & Planning team

Value engineering and provide guidance to concerned with all aspects of services to ensure effective decision making. Benchmarking optimum services available and creating a data bank to standardize / customize services as per project requirement and quick reference as and when required

Understand the overall budget and budgetary allocation for various phases of project and ensure adherence to the same through the construction/execution phase

Undertake the kick-off meeting with all the MEP/Services contractors to explain all the project details and thus mobilize the contractors.

Well verse with MS office, Auto CAD (Knowledge of Revite will be an added advantage)
