Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Goa, India, for a Mentor specializing in Carpentry or Woodworking. The Mentor will be responsible for guiding and teaching students in essential carpentry and woodworking skills. Daily tasks include designing and leading hands-on woodworking projects, instructing students in the safe and effective use of tools, fostering creativity and craftsmanship, and ensuring a safe working environment. The Mentor will also contribute to curriculum planning and support learners in building both technical and life skills through woodworking.

Qualifications

• Experience in teaching school children
• Experience in Carpentry and Finish Carpentry skills, including constructing, installing, and repairing wood structures and fixtures
• Proficiency in the safe use of Power Tools and Hand Tools
• Knowledge and experience in Framing and woodworking techniques
• Ability to inspire and mentor students in a hands-on learning environment
• Strong communication and organizational skills to plan and execute woodworking projects
• Familiarity with educational programs and approaches for personalized skill-building is an advantage
• Prior teaching or mentoring experience is a preferred qualification
• Passion for working with students and fostering creativity and technical skills
