Member of Technical Staff - II, Software

Role Summary

Plans, designs, develops and tests software systems or applications for software enhancements and new products including cloud-based or internet-related tools.

Key Responsibilities

• Proficient in developing C/C++ applications in Unix or Linux (C is Compulsory)
• Familiarity with User space packet processing with dpdk or vpp
• Good understanding of linux internals - Virtual memory/mutual exclusion/IPC/Multithreaded applications/Network-programming
• Proficient in data structures and algorithms
• Robust design skills
• Prior experience of working with deep packet inspection engine
• Good understanding of scalable firewalls supporting thousands of rules where each rule may have 40-50 attributes.
• Good understanding of tcp/ip internals including tcp state machine.
• Good understanding of protocols like HTTP/HTTPS/DNS/QUIC
• Good understanding of network analyser tools like wireshark
• Good understanding of Session-management/Traffic shaping/Traffic policing etc.
• Good understanding of video/audio/web/chat applications network traffic behaviour.
• Good understanding of content categorization.
• Good understanding of framework for HTTPS interception for deep packet inspection.
• excellent debugging capabilities
