Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Coding, Radiology Coder to join our team in India. The ideal candidate will have 1-5 years of experience in medical coding with a focus on radiology, ensuring accurate coding for diagnostic imaging services.
Responsibilities
- Review and analyze medical records and documentation to ensure accurate coding for radiology services.
- Assign appropriate ICD-10-CM and CPT codes for diagnoses and procedures in accordance with coding guidelines.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to clarify any discrepancies in documentation and coding.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of coding regulations, guidelines, and payer-specific requirements.
- Perform quality checks and audits on coded data to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Assist in the training of new coding staff and provide support as needed.
Skills and Qualifications
- Proven experience in medical coding, specifically in radiology (1-5 years).
- Strong understanding of ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology related to radiology.
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication skills to liaise with healthcare providers and other staff.
- Certification in medical coding (e.g., CPC, CCS, RCC) is preferred.
