Medical Writer / Project Manager (Chinese Language Specialist)

Role Overview:
We are seeking healthcare professionals with strong Mandarin Chinese language skills and a solid understanding of medical and scientific concepts. The selected candidates will support medical communication, scientific documentation, healthcare projects, and cross-functional collaboration involving Chinese-speaking stakeholders.
Depending on their experience and capabilities, candidates may be assigned as either a Medical Writer or a Project Manager within the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Medical Writer Track
- Author, review, and edit scientific, clinical, and medical content.
- Translate and localize medical documents between Chinese and English.
- Develop medical summaries, literature reviews, training materials, and educational content.
- Ensure scientific accuracy and compliance with regulatory and client requirements.
- Interpret clinical data and convert complex medical information into clear and audience-appropriate communication.
- Support publication, medical affairs, pharmacovigilance, and clinical research projects.
Project Manager Track
- Coordinate end-to-end execution of medical and healthcare projects.
- Act as a liaison between clients, medical experts, translators, and operational teams.
- Manage project timelines, deliverables, budgets, and stakeholder communication.
- Review project documentation and ensure quality standards are maintained.
- Facilitate meetings, track action items, and prepare project reports.
- Collaborate with Chinese-speaking partners, healthcare institutions, and clients.
Required Qualifications
Education
- MBBS, BDS, B.Pharm, M.Pharm, PharmD, BSc/MSc Life Sciences, Nursing, Biotechnology, Public Health, or related healthcare discipline.
- Candidates educated or having worked in China will be highly preferred.
Language Requirements
- Native or professional proficiency in Mandarin Chinese.
- Strong reading, writing, and verbal communication skills in Chinese.
- Good command of English for business and scientific communication.
Experience
- 1-4+ years of experience in any of the following:
- Medical writing
- Clinical research
- Medical affairs
- Healthcare communication
- Scientific content development
- Healthcare project coordination
- Clinical operations
- Hospital or healthcare administration
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with Chinese hospitals, healthcare institutions, CROs, pharmaceutical companies, or medical device organizations.
- Experience translating or reviewing scientific content in Chinese and English.
- Familiarity with clinical research, regulatory documentation, pharmacovigilance, or publication planning.
- Exposure to digital health, patient engagement, healthcare marketing, or medical education initiatives.
