Qualifications and Skills

  • Proficiency in medical terminology (Mandatory skill) to accurately transcribe dictated reports and ensure clarity.
  • Experience with electronic health records (Mandatory skill) for maintaining accurate and confidential health information.
  • Ability to transcribe discharge summaries (Mandatory skill) with attention to detail and comprehensive reporting.
  • Proficient in using transcription software to enhance efficiency and accuracy in documentation processes.
  • Strong audio transcription skills to effectively convert verbal records into written format in a timely manner.
  • Excellent listening skills to interpret and transcribe physicians and health professionals dictated notes.
  • Good command of English language to ensure grammar, spelling, and punctuation accuracy in transcribed reports.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple transcription tasks efficiently.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Transcribe and interpret voice recordings from medical professionals into written reports with precision.
  • Verify transcriptions for accuracy and completeness before submission into the patient's medical records.
  • Edit and correct discrepancies within transcription documents to ensure high-quality patient data records.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with hospital privacy guidelines and policies.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to clarify inconsistencies or uncertainties in dictations.
  • Stay updated on medical terminology and changes in healthcare documentation standards and practices.
  • Ensure timely completion of transcription tasks to support efficient healthcare service delivery.
