Medical Transcriptionist

Key Responsibilities:
- Transcribe and edit doctor-dictated medical reports, including:
- Discharge summaries
- Operative notes
- Clinical progress notes
- Diagnostic imaging reports
- Consultation reports
- Ensure accuracy, clarity, and completeness in all patient documentation.
- Interpret complex medical terminology, abbreviations, and diagnostic procedures.
- Maintain confidentiality and data security of patient records.
- Proofread and format transcriptions to align with hospital documentation protocols.
- Work closely with physicians and nursing staff to resolve inconsistencies or unclear dictations.
- Adhere to turnaround times and transcription quality standards.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Excellent English listening and typing skills (4060 wpm with high accuracy)
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, pharmacology, and healthcare workflow
- Familiarity with speech recognition software (e.g., Dragon, M*Modal) is a plus
- Detail-oriented and able to work in high-volume documentation environments
- Ability to work independently and as part of a clinical documentation team
