Role Description The Medical Superintendent is a full-time, on-site position based in Bengaluru, responsible for overseeing clinical operations and ensuring high standards of patient care at Sukino Continuum Care. This role includes supervising medical and nursing teams, monitoring adherence to clinical protocols, and coordinating with specialists and partner hospitals for continuity of care. The Medical Superintendent will manage admission and discharge processes, review treatment plans, and ensure appropriate documentation and regulatory compliance. Daily tasks involve addressing patient and family concerns, promoting quality improvement initiatives, and working closely with administrative staff to optimize resource utilization and safety. The role also includes mentoring clinical staff, supporting training programs, and contributing to the development of care pathways for chronic and post-acute conditions.
Qualifications
  • Candidates should possess strong clinical expertise and leadership abilities, ideally with an MBBS degree and postgraduate qualification (MD/MS or equivalent) and experience in hospital or continuum care management.
  • Candidates should possess skills in hospital administration and operations management, including oversight of clinical workflows, quality assurance, and compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
  • Candidates should possess patient-centric communication and counselling skills, including the ability to work empathetically with individuals managing chronic illnesses and their families.
  • Candidates should possess capabilities in multidisciplinary coordination, collaborating effectively with physicians, nurses, therapists, and allied health professionals.
  • Candidates should possess proficiency in using healthcare information systems and basic digital tools to support documentation, reporting, and tele-consultation workflows.
  • Candidates should possess strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to handle emergencies, prioritize tasks, and maintain clinical safety.
  • Candidates should possess experience or interest in chronic care, rehabilitation, palliative care, or post-acute care settings; prior exposure to nephrology, cardiology, neurology, oncology, or AYUSH-based therapies is an advantage.
  • Candidates should possess the ability to train, mentor, and evaluate clinical staff performance, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and compassionate care.
