Role Description The Medical Superintendent will oversee the efficient and safe functioning of hospital clinical and administrative operations, ensuring high standards of patient care and regulatory compliance. Responsibilities include supervising medical staff, coordinating with nursing and administrative teams, monitoring clinical quality indicators, and implementing policies and protocols aligned with patient-centric care. The role involves managing resource utilization, supporting accreditation processes, handling incident reporting and resolution, and ensuring adherence to healthcare laws and ethical standards. The Medical Superintendent will also participate in strategic planning, support training and development programs, and foster a culture of continuous quality improvement and teamwork. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru.

Qualifications

• Relevant medical degree (MBBS) with postgraduate qualification in Hospital Administration or a related discipline; valid medical registration as per local regulations.
• Demonstrated experience in hospital administration, clinical governance, and healthcare operations management in a multi-specialty or tertiary care setting.
• Strong leadership, team management, and people development skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with clinical, nursing, and administrative staff.
• Proficiency in quality and safety standards, regulatory and accreditation requirements, and implementation of clinical protocols and SOPs.
• Excellent communication, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities, including conflict resolution and incident management.
• 10+ Experience with hospital information systems, data-driven performance monitoring, and basic financial acumen related to resource planning and budgeting.
• Commitment to patient-centric care, ethical medical practice, and continuous improvement in clinical outcomes and service delivery.
• Prior experience in a similar leadership role as Medical Superintendent or equivalent position will be an added advantage.
