Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Medical Scribe to transcribe handwritten doctors&apos notes into accurate electronic medical records. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of medical terminology, excellent typing skills, and the ability to maintain confidentiality while ensuring accurate documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately transcribe and enter handwritten physician notes into PointClickCare (PCC).
- Ensure completeness, accuracy, and clarity of medical documentation.
- Review and verify medical records for errors, inconsistencies, or missing information.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to clarify unclear notes and ensure proper documentation.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of patient information in accordance with HIPAA and other privacy regulations.
- Keep up-to-date with medical terminology and documentation best practices.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Proven experience as a medical scribe, transcriptionist, or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, abbreviations, and healthcare documentation standards.
- Fast and accurate typing skills with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems is a plus.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with medical staff.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification as a Medical Scribe or Medical Transcriptionist (optional but beneficial).
- Experience working in a healthcare setting.
