Healthcare Tertiary Eye Care & Ophthalmology Services. We provide comprehensive retinal, cataract and anterior-segment care through an on-site surgical facility serving patients in Ghaziabad and the surrounding region. We are hiring an experienced on-site Ophthalmologist - Medical Retina & Phaco Surgeon to lead clinical and surgical retina services at our Kavi Nagar location.
Role & Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive medical-retina care: evaluate, diagnose and manage AMD, diabetic retinopathy, retinal vascular occlusions and uveitic complications.
- Perform high-quality phacoemulsification cataract surgery with IOL implantation, including complex cataract cases and perioperative management.
- Administer intravitreal injections (anti-VEGF and steroids), manage treatment protocols and counsel patients on risks and follow-up.
- Interpret retinal imaging (OCT, FFA, fundus photography, B-scan) and translate findings into evidence-based treatment plans.
- Deliver retinal laser therapy (PRP, focal/grid) and collaborate with vitreoretinal surgeons on pars plana vitrectomy cases when required.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation, participate in multidisciplinary case reviews and mentor junior clinicians and trainees.
Skills & Qualifications Must-Have
- Phacoemulsification
- Intravitreal injections
- Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) interpretation
- Fundus Fluorescein Angiography (FFA)
Preferred
- Pars Plana Vitrectomy
- Retinal laser (PRP)
Qualifications: MBBS with MS/DO/DNB in Ophthalmology (or equivalent) required; Fellowship in Medical Retina or Vitreoretinal surgery preferred. Must hold valid Indian medical registration and provide a surgical log demonstrating competency in phaco and retina procedures. Strong adherence to clinical governance, informed consent and documentation standards is essential.
