Job Description

Industry: Pharmaceuticals & Healthcare Prescription pharmaceutical sales and field operations across India. This is an on-site, territory-focused role responsible for driving prescriptions, expanding market share, and strengthening relationships with healthcare professionals and channel partners.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Manage assigned territory to achieve and exceed sales targets by developing and executing a localized field plan.
  • Conduct regular medical detailing to doctors, pharmacists, and healthcare providers to communicate product value, clinical benefits, and appropriate use.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), high-prescribing clinicians, and pharmacy chains to drive product adoption.
  • Execute product launches, promotional activities, and distributor coordination to ensure optimal product availability and visibility at the point of care.
  • Maintain accurate daily call reports, CRM entries, and sales forecasts to drive data-led territory decisions.
  • Adhere to regulatory and ethical standards for pharmaceutical promotion and ensure compliant sample and inventory management.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Must-Have
    • Bachelors degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, or related field preferred.
    • Proven experience in prescription pharmaceutical sales with demonstrated territory performance.
    • Strong knowledge of therapeutic area and medical terminology relevant to assigned products.
    • Proficiency with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) and MS Excel for reporting and territory analytics.
    • Valid driving license and willingness to travel across the assigned territory on-site.
    • Commitment to ethical promotion and familiarity with pharmaceutical regulatory guidelines.
  • Preferred
    • Experience with chronic therapy portfolios or hospital account coverage.
    • Exposure to digital detailing / e-detailing tools and remote engagement platforms.
    • Previous success in trade activation or distributor relationship management.
