Role Description The Medical Record Department Technician will manage and maintain patient medical records, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and confidentiality in line with organizational policies and regulatory requirements. Day-to-day responsibilities include organizing and updating health information in electronic and physical formats, verifying documentation, coding and indexing records as per guidelines, and supporting clinical teams with timely access to patient information. The role also involves assisting with record retrieval for audits and legal or insurance purposes, responding to inquiries from internal stakeholders, and providing courteous support to patients and families regarding medical record requests. The technician will work closely with other departments to support smooth workflows, data integrity, and efficient record management processes. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Faridabad.
Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of Medical Terminology to accurately interpret and manage clinical documentation.
  • Proficiency in Health Information Management practices, including record organization, coding, indexing, and compliance with relevant standards.
  • Hands-on experience with Medical Records systems, both electronic and paper-based, and familiarity with data privacy and confidentiality protocols.
  • Customer Service skills to interact professionally with patients, families, and healthcare teams, addressing record-related queries and requests.
  • Basic understanding of Medicine sufficient to contextualize clinical information and support accurate record management.
  • Attention to detail, strong organizational abilities, and time management skills to handle high volumes of records efficiently.
  • Comfort with hospital information systems, EMR/EHR platforms, and standard office software (e.g., MS Office).
  • Diploma or degree in Health Information Management, Medical Record Technology, or a related healthcare discipline; prior experience in a hospital medical records department is preferred.
