Role Description
The Medical Physicist cum Radiation Safety Officer (RSO) will play a crucial role in overseeing radiation safety and the proper implementation of treatment plans in the Gandhidham location. This is a full-time, on-site position that ensures compliance with radiation safety protocols and standards. Responsibilities include treatment planning, performing dosimetric calculations, conducting quality assurance checks for radiation equipment, and managing safety measures to protect patients, staff, and the environment. The role also involves providing guidance on radiation regulations and collaborating with the medical team to optimize treatment outcomes.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge and experience in Treatment Planning and Dosimetry
- Expertise in Medical Physics and Radiation Safety principles
- Solid understanding of Physics, particularly in the context of radiation therapy
- Proficiency in implementing and supervising safety measures for radiation usage
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining regulatory compliance
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Medical Physics, Physics, or a related field
- Valid certification or qualification to act as a Radiation Safety Officer (RSO)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team
- Previous experience in a similar role is an advantage
