Job Description

A clinical healthcare organisation operating in the tertiary medical oncology sector in India. We deliver end-to-end cancer care—diagnosis, systemic therapies, clinical trials, and survivorship—through multidisciplinary teams. This is an on-site role for a Medical Oncologist to lead patient management, administer systemic treatments safely, and contribute to clinical governance and research.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive oncology care: evaluate patients, establish evidence-based treatment plans, and deliver systemic therapies for solid tumors and hematologic malignancies.
  • Prescribe, administer and supervise chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and targeted agents while enforcing chemotherapy safety protocols and documentation.
  • Perform oncology procedures including bone marrow aspiration/biopsy and manage central access care and procedure-related complications.
  • Lead and actively participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards to coordinate surgical, radiation, pathology, and palliative inputs for optimal outcomes.
  • Assess and grade treatment-related toxicities (CTCAE), initiate timely supportive care, dose modifications, and escalate critical events.
  • Support and manage investigator-led and sponsored clinical trials: patient selection, consent, protocol adherence, and accurate clinical documentation.

Skills & Qualifications Must-Have

  • MBBS with MD/DNB/DM or equivalent in Medical Oncology (or recognized specialist qualification)
  • Valid medical registration to practise in India
  • Demonstrated experience in systemic anti-cancer therapy and chemotherapy administration
  • Proficiency in toxicity assessment using CTCAE and management of treatment-related complications
  • Practical experience with bone marrow aspiration and biopsy
  • ACLS certification or equivalent emergency life-support training

Preferred

  • Experience in clinical trial coordination or research protocols
  • Fellowship or focused experience in hematologic malignancies or specific solid tumor subspecialty
  • Familiarity with oncology EMR systems and RECIST tumor response evaluation

Benefits & Culture Highlights

  • Competitive compensation with performance-linked incentives and CME support.
  • Collaborative, multidisciplinary environment with opportunities for clinical research and teaching.
