Job Description
We are looking for qualified Radiologists, Radiology Residents/Fellows, Medical Imaging Specialists, and other professionals with relevant radiology expertise to support medical image annotation and review projects involving MRI scans.
The role will involve reviewing MRI medical images, identifying and annotating anatomical structures and abnormalities, performing image segmentation, and reviewing or correcting existing annotations created by other medical professionals. Depending on the project, candidates may work with MRI images from different parts of the body and may be required to identify organs, detect abnormalities such as cysts, lesions, or nodules, or review the accuracy of existing anatomical and vascular annotations.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and interpret MRI scans across different anatomical regions.
- Identify and annotate relevant organs, anatomical structures, lesions, cysts, nodules, vessels, and other abnormalities.
- Perform or review image segmentation according to project-specific guidelines.
- Identify abnormalities and accurately define their location and boundaries.
- Review existing annotations and identify inaccuracies, missing areas, or incorrectly labeled structures.
- Correct and refine existing annotations where required.
- Ensure annotations accurately correspond to the underlying medical images and anatomy.
- Follow detailed annotation guidelines and maintain consistency and high accuracy across cases.
- Perform quality checks on completed annotations.
Required Expertise
- Strong knowledge of human anatomy and medical imaging.
- Ability to accurately read and interpret MRI scans.
- Ability to identify normal anatomical structures as well as abnormalities such as lesions, cysts, nodules, and other findings.
- Strong understanding of anatomical boundaries and structures visible on MRI.
- High attention to detail and ability to identify subtle differences or abnormalities in medical images.
- Ability to review and assess the accuracy of annotations created by other individuals.
- Comfortable working with digital medical images and annotation/segmentation tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- Medical degree with relevant Radiology/Diagnostic Imaging training or equivalent professional qualification.
- 2+ years experience in radiology, diagnostic imaging, neuroradiology, or related fields.
- Practical experience interpreting MRI scans.
- Experience with medical image annotation, segmentation, or AI/ML medical imaging projects is preferred.
- Experience with thyroid, brain, vascular, head & neck, or other specialized MRI imaging is an advantage.
