Role Description This is a remote role for a Medical Doctor on the Doctotalk platform. The Medical Doctor will provide real-time virtual consultations to patients via chat and video, offering evidence-based medical guidance within their licensed scope of practice. Daily activities include taking focused histories, assessing symptoms, recommending appropriate investigations or treatments. The Medical Doctor will also contribute to a positive patient experience by communicating in a clear, empathetic, and culturally sensitive manner and may provide feedback to the product team to improve clinical workflows and platform features.
Qualifications
- Current, unrestricted medical license (Any Medical Doctor Degree or equivalent) in relevant jurisdiction(s) and in good standing with applicable medical boards or councils.
- Completed residency or equivalent postgraduate training in a recognized specialty (e.g., Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, Emergency Medicine, or other relevant fields).
- Demonstrated clinical competence in evaluating common acute and chronic conditions suitable for telemedicine, including safe triage and escalation to in-person or emergency care.
- Strong digital literacy and comfort using telehealth platforms, electronic medical records, and secure messaging and video tools.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain medical information clearly, manage expectations, and build trust in a virtual environment.
- Commitment to ethical practice, patient privacy, and compliance with data protection, documentation, and telehealth regulations.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage time effectively, and maintain professional availability during agreed-upon hours or shifts.
- Prior telemedicine or virtual care experience is highly beneficial; familiarity with availability-driven or high-volume consultation models is a plus.
- Comfort managing diverse patient populations across different geographies and cultures; additional language proficiency is advantageous.
