Job Description

Project Description:

  • This role involves integrating bedside medical devices with healthcare systems to enable real-time clinical workflows and device-to-EHR data exchange. You will work with devices such as vital signs monitors, ventilators, infusion pumps, anesthesia machines, ECG/telemetry, and smart beds, ensuring seamless connectivity and compliance with healthcare standards. The position requires strong knowledge of HL7 messaging, device communication protocols, and troubleshooting connectivity issues. Exposure to FHIR/REST APIs and emerging technologies like AI (LLMs, Agentic AI) is a plus.

Responsibilities:

  • Integrate bedside medical devices (vital signs monitors, ventilators, infusion pumps, anesthesia machines, ECG/telemetry, smart beds) with EHR systems.
  • Implement and troubleshoot HL7 messaging (ADT, ORU, ORM) and flowsheet mappings.
  • Support real-time clinical workflows and ensure accurate device-to-EHR data exchange.
  • Configure and maintain serial-to-IP connectivity and converters for medical devices.
  • Monitor device connectivity using SNMP, syslog, and other monitoring tools.
  • Collaborate with clinical and IT teams to ensure compliance with healthcare standards.
  • Document integration processes, workflows, and technical specifications.

Mandatory Skills Description:

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with medical device integration in healthcare environments. working with EHR systems and any knowledge around HL7 Integrations. US healthcare technologies exp is must
  • Strong understanding of bedside medical devices (vital signs monitors, ventilators, infusion pumps, anesthesia machines, ECG/telemetry, smart beds).
  • Proficiency in HL7 messaging (ADT, ORU, ORM) and flowsheet mappings.
  • Experience supporting real-time clinical workflows and device-to-EHR data exchange.

Nice-to-Have Skills Description:

  • Experience with serial-to-IP device connectivity and converters.
  • Familiarity with IEEE 11073 medical device communication standards.
  • Knowledge of SNMP, syslog, and device monitoring technologies.
  • Programming or scripting experience (Java, C++, .NET, Python, JavaScript).
  • Exposure to FHIR/REST API-based device integrations.
  • Experience with AI technologies (LLMs, Agentic AI).
