Role Description

The Medical Coding Trainer is a full-time, on-site role based in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. The trainer will design and deliver comprehensive training programs in medical coding, including curriculum development, lesson planning, and hands-on practice sessions for learners. Day-to-day responsibilities include teaching medical terminology and coding systems, evaluating learner performance, providing constructive feedback, and preparing trainees for certifications and placement opportunities. The role involves updating training materials to reflect current coding guidelines, collaborating with internal teams to align training with industry standards, and maintaining accurate records of trainee progress. The trainer will also support continuous improvement of training methodologies to ensure high-quality outcomes and strong employability for participants.

Qualifications

• Strong Coding Experience and practical exposure to Medical Coding systems and standards.
• Knowledge of Health Information Management practices and related workflows in clinical or hospital settings.
• Proficiency in Medical Terminology and its application in documentation and coding.
• Relevant certifications such as RHIT or equivalent professional credentials in health information or medical coding.
• Previous experience as a trainer, instructor, or mentor in medical coding or healthcare-related education.
• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Health Information Management, Life Sciences, Nursing, or a related healthcare field.
• Ability to create structured training materials, assess learner performance, and adapt teaching methods to diverse audiences.
• Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to ethical, inclusive, and learner-focused instruction.
