We are seeking a skilled medical coding radiology coder to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 1-5 years of experience in medical coding, particularly in the radiology department. You will be responsible for accurately coding diagnostic imaging procedures, ensuring compliance with coding regulations, and collaborating with healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities
- Review and analyze medical records and radiology reports to ensure accurate coding.
- Assign appropriate ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes for diagnostic imaging procedures.
- Ensure compliance with coding guidelines and regulations.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to clarify documentation and coding discrepancies.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of coding procedures and regulations in radiology.
- Participate in quality assurance and coding audits.
Skills and Qualifications
- 1-5 years of experience in medical coding, specifically in radiology.
- Proficient in ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and anatomy relevant to radiology.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in coding and documentation.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Certification in medical coding (e.g., CPC, CCA, CCS) is preferred.
