Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Coder with 1-6 years of experience to join our healthcare team in India. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coding medical records accurately, ensuring compliance with regulations, and facilitating the billing process.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze patient medical records to ensure accurate coding of diagnoses and procedures.
• Assign appropriate codes using ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems.
• Ensure compliance with medical coding guidelines and regulations.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to clarify diagnoses and procedures as needed.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of coding changes and updates.
• Prepare and submit claims to insurance companies and follow up on unpaid claims.

Skills and Qualifications

• 1-6 years of experience in medical coding, preferably in a healthcare setting.
• Certification in Medical Coding (e.g., CPC, CCS, CCA) is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in coding and data entry.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and anatomy.
• Good communication skills to liaise with healthcare staff and insurance companies.
