Medical Coder – IVR (Interventional Radiology)

Description

We are seeking a skilled Medical Coder with 1-5 years of experience in Interventional Radiology to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately coding medical procedures and diagnoses for reimbursement purposes.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assign ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes for Interventional Radiology procedures.
• Review medical records and ensure compliance with AAPC and AHIMA guidelines.
• Code for angiography, stent placements, embolization, biopsy, and other IVR procedures.
• Ensure proper modifier application and bundling/unbundling of codes.
• Stay updated on Medicare LCD/NCD policies and payer-specific regulations.
• Work closely with radiologists and billing teams for accurate claim submissions.

Key Requirements:

• Certification: CPC, CCS, CIRCC (Preferred).
• Experience: 1+ years in Interventional Radiology Coding.
• Strong understanding of vascular and non-vascular coding.
• Experience with EHR/EMR systems like Epic, 3M, etc.
• Ability to interpret complex medical procedures and documentation.
