We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Coder with 1-5 years of experience to join our healthcare team in India. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coding medical records accurately and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Responsibilities
- Review and analyze medical records and documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with coding guidelines.
- Assign appropriate ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes for diagnoses and procedures.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify documentation and coding issues.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of coding regulations and guidelines.
- Prepare and submit claims to insurance companies and ensure timely follow-up on unpaid claims.
- Conduct coding audits and provide feedback for improvement.
Skills and Qualifications
- Certification in medical coding (CPC, CCS, or equivalent) is preferred.
- Proficient in ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in coding.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and medical billing software.
