Medical Coder - Ancillary Services

Description

We are looking for a Medical Coder with experience in Ancillary Services to join our team. As a Medical Coder, you will be responsible for reviewing medical records, assigning codes to diagnoses and procedures, and ensuring accuracy and compliance with coding guidelines.

Job Responsibilities:

• Review and code diagnostic, therapeutic, and support services (e.g., lab, pathology, radiology, DME, physical therapy).
• Assign appropriate ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes based on payer requirements.
• Ensure compliance with Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance guidelines.
• Validate documentation and communicate with providers for clarification.
• Identify and resolve coding discrepancies to prevent denials.
• Stay updated on industry regulations, coding changes, and payer policies.

Key Requirements:

• Certification: CPC, CCS, or relevant coding credentials (Preferred).
• Experience: 1+ years in Ancillary Services Coding.
• Knowledge of billing rules for laboratory, pathology, radiology, DME, and outpatient services.
• Proficiency in EHR/EMR systems and coding software.
• Strong understanding of medical necessity and compliance policies.
