Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage all aspects of the medical billing process, including charge entry, claims submission, payment posting, and accounts receivable management.
- Ensure accuracy and compliance with healthcare billing regulations and standards.
- Review and resolve billing discrepancies and denials, working closely with insurance companies and healthcare providers to ensure timely payments.
- Analyze billing data and generate reports to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for process improvements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline billing operations and enhance service delivery.
- Train and mentor junior staff on billing procedures, software, and best practices.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of healthcare billing codes, regulations, and industry standards.
- Act as a point of contact for client inquiries related to billing and provide timely resolutions.
- Participate in audits and ensure adherence to internal and external compliance requirements.
Required Skills And Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or a related field.
- 2-4 years of experience in medical billing or healthcare revenue cycle management, with a focus on US healthcare.
- Strong knowledge of medical billing codes (CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS) and payer requirements.
- Proficiency in billing software and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients and team members.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with healthcare compliance regulations (e.g., HIPAA) and best practices.
