Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage all aspects of the medical billing process, including charge entry, claims submission, payment posting, and accounts receivable management.
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance with healthcare billing regulations and standards.
  • Review and resolve billing discrepancies and denials, working closely with insurance companies and healthcare providers to ensure timely payments.
  • Analyze billing data and generate reports to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for process improvements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline billing operations and enhance service delivery.
  • Train and mentor junior staff on billing procedures, software, and best practices.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of healthcare billing codes, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Act as a point of contact for client inquiries related to billing and provide timely resolutions.
  • Participate in audits and ensure adherence to internal and external compliance requirements.

Required Skills And Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or a related field.
  • 2-4 years of experience in medical billing or healthcare revenue cycle management, with a focus on US healthcare.
  • Strong knowledge of medical billing codes (CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS) and payer requirements.
  • Proficiency in billing software and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients and team members.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with healthcare compliance regulations (e.g., HIPAA) and best practices.
