Job Description
A Medical Affairs Manager is responsible for providing scientific and clinical leadership to support pharmaceutical products, medical strategies, and healthcare stakeholder engagement. This role acts as a bridge between the medical/scientific community and the company, ensuring that products are supported by accurate clinical evidence, regulatory compliance, and ethical medical communication.
They work closely with cross-functional teams such as Regulatory Affairs, Clinical Research, Pharmacovigilance, Marketing, and Sales to ensure the safe and effective use of medicines while maintaining scientific integrity.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement medical affairs strategies aligned with company objectives.
Provide scientific and clinical expertise on pharmaceutical products and therapeutic areas.
Build and maintain strong relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), physicians, pharmacists, hospitals, and healthcare professionals.
Review and approve promotional and non-promotional medical materials for scientific accuracy and compliance.
Support product launches, lifecycle management, and market access activities with medical insights.
Deliver medical training to internal teams including sales, marketing, and field staff.
Respond to medical information inquiries from healthcare professionals and stakeholders.
Participate in advisory boards, scientific meetings, conferences, and symposia.
Contribute to clinical trial support, investigator-initiated studies, and real-world evidence programs.
Collaborate with Pharmacovigilance on drug safety monitoring and adverse event reporting.
Ensure all medical activities comply with regulatory, legal, and ethical standards.
Analyze clinical data, published literature, and competitor information to provide strategic recommendations.
Support the development of medical education programs and scientific publications.
