Role: Media and Analytics Lead
Location: MG Road, Gurgaon (Client's Office)
In-office role
A leading Mumbai-based agency looking for a Media and Analytics dedicated to their retainer client - one of the largest alcobev companies in the world. This role is based out of the client's office in Gurgaon.
Role Overview
As a global leader in the spirits category, the client runs a wide range of media campaigns across channels. This role is responsible for analysing media plans, constructively challenging assumptions, and ensuring every marketing rupee is invested as effectively as possible.
This is an individual contributor role based at the client's head office in Gurugram. You will work closely with brand managers while coordinating with media and analytics partners to strengthen planning, measurement, and media effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities
Media Planning & Strategy
- Build, review, challenge, and strengthen media plans across campaigns.
- Evaluate assumptions around reach, frequency, channel mix, measurement frameworks, and unit economics.
- Act as the client's internal media expert, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and optimise media investments.
- Ensure media plans deliver maximum effectiveness while balancing business objectives.
- Own the media measurement framework across campaigns.
- Define success metrics and establish robust tracking methodologies.
- Ensure learnings from each campaign are incorporated into future planning and optimisation.
- Ensure all media plans comply with Indian alcohol advertising regulations, including surrogate advertising rules, platform restrictions, and category-specific guidelines.
- Review campaigns for regulatory compliance before execution.
- Partner with content and creative agencies to ensure media plans integrate seamlessly with campaign execution.
- Work closely with brand, media, and analytics teams to align strategy, execution, and performance measurement.
- 9–11 years of overall experience, with at least 7 years in a media planning or strategy role at a leading media agency (GroupM, Publicis Media, Havas, IPG, dentsu, or similar) or as a media lead at a large FMCG or consumer brand.
- Hands-on experience in media planning and strategy is strongly preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Marketing, or a related field.
- MBA from a Tier 1 or Tier 2 institute is preferred.

- Programmatic
- Connected TV (CTV)
- Audio
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate media plans for:
- Reach efficiency
- Frequency management
- Audience overlap
- Measurement quality
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with dashboarding tools.
- Knowledge of SQL, Python, or R is an advantage.
- Exposure to Marketing Mix Modelling (MMM) is preferred.
- Understanding of the Indian alcohol industry and its regulatory and media constraints, or the ability to quickly develop this expertise.
- Comfortable working in an onsite individual contributor role, partnering closely with client stakeholders.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the confidence to influence senior leadership through data-driven recommendations.
Role
While media planning and strategy are the core of this role, the following capabilities are expected to enable effective decision-making and partner management:
- Experience with dashboarding platforms and Marketing Mix Modelling.
- Familiarity with creator insight tools, social listening platforms, and consumer insight solutions.
- Understanding of public APIs across major social platforms and how recurring reporting can be automated.
- Passion for entertainment, popular culture, and internet technology, with an awareness of how these influence consumer behaviour and media consumption.
