Job Title: Piping Execution Engineer

Location: Jhagadia, Gujarat

Experience: 5-10 Years

Education Qualification: BE/Btech/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Piping Execution Engineer to oversee the execution of piping projects within our Chemical Industry facilities. The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of experience in piping fabrication, erection, and commissioning, ensuring adherence to project specifications, safety standards, and quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and manage piping installation, fabrication, and erection activities at the site.
  • Ensure compliance with engineering drawings, P&IDs, isometric drawings, and layout plans.
  • Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams for smooth project execution.
  • Monitor contractor performance, ensuring work is completed within schedule, budget, and quality standards.
  • Conduct site inspections, material verification, and quality checks.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, HSE guidelines, and industry best practices.
  • Identify and resolve technical issues, design discrepancies, and execution challenges.
  • Prepare and maintain project reports, documentation, and progress tracking.
  • Work closely with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure timely material availability.
  • Support pre-commissioning and commissioning activities of piping systems.
  • Handle, install, and commission specialized equipment like glass-lined, graphite, and PFA-lined systems.
  • Supervise the installation of piping systems (carbon steel, stainless steel, alloys) and mechanical systems.
  • Review and interpret P&ID, Isometrics, GAD, PFD, and layout drawings. Lead crane operations and develop lifting plans for delicate equipment.
  • Ensure safety protocols are followed for fragile equipment handling.
  • Manage contractors and coordinate effectively with internal teams and vendors.
  • Experience in Cross country pipeline projects.

Skills & Qualifications

  • BE/BTech/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 5-10 years of experience in piping execution within the Chemical/Process Industry.
  • Strong knowledge of piping standards (ASME, ANSI, API, ASTM, etc.) and materials.
  • Experience in handling various piping materials (CS, SS, Alloy, HDPE, etc.).
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Navisworks, and MS Office is an advantage.
  • Excellent understanding of welding, NDT, hydro testing, and other inspection techniques.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects, contractors, and deadlines efficiently.
  • Strong problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.
