Mission of the Role:
Manage and drive some Mechanical engineers (1520) to deliver mechanical designs for Visteon products, on-cost, on-time, on-quality.
Key Objectives of this Role:
- Manage his/her team to drive accountability, design quality mindset, efficiency and people development.
- Assign resources from his/her team to each project under his/her responsibilities.
- Make relevant reporting of his/her team to the management.
- Ensure quality of deliverables from his/her team.
- Provide guidance and support to his/her team through organizational and cross-functional resources.

- BOM compliance
- Engineering budget compliance
- Process Quality compliance
- Deliverables Say/Do ratio
- Top talents attrition ratio
Key Year One Deliverables:
- Team development roadmap based on competencies assessment
- KPI for Process Quality compliance above engineering target
Qualification, Experience and Skills:
- Bachelor's /Master's degree in the Mechanical engineering field.
- 18+ years of relevant engineering experience preferably in regional or global environment.
- 5+ years of Engineering team management experience with proven Leadership.
- Experience in Automotive products development, preferably in Displays, Infotainment, Cockpit Electronic products, Electrification vehicles products.
- Strong experience in ensuring the design quality, verification methods. Design tools.
- Exposure to CAE and testing domains.
- Proficiency in Japanese language - JLPT N3/N2, especially for collaboration with Japanese OEMs and suppliers.
- Proven supervisory and technical skills.
- Experience in Problem solving, Continuous Improvement
- Exposure to Global Culture/Customer is an added advantage.
- Experience in VAVE is added advantage.
