Role Overview
As a Mechanical Engineering Intern at Vecmocon Technologies, you will work closely with our engineering team on the design and development of EV auxiliary components. This role provides hands-on exposure to Mechanical CAD, manufacturing processes, and design validation techniques. You will gain experience across sheet-metal, plastic, and die-cast part design, contributing directly to real product development.
Key Responsibilities
- CAD Design & Ideation Support the creation of 3D models, assemblies, and conceptual design iterations.
- Design Validation (CAE) Assist in basic simulations (structural and fluid) to validate design performance.
- Prototype Development Support Coordinate with manufacturing partners during prototype builds and conduct basic quality checks.
- Manufacturing Communication Help communicate design intent and requirements to manufacturing vendors.
Role Requirements
- CAD Skills Introductory knowledge of part modeling, assemblies, 2D drawings, and basic GD&T. Proficiency in SolidWorks is preferred.
- CAE Skills Basic understanding of FEA (structural) and CFD (fluid) simulations. Experience with ANSYS or SolidWorks Simulation is a plus.
- Project Experience Demonstrated ability to handle small engineering or technical projects independently.
- Preferred Background Formula Student experience in the mechanical domain is a strong advantage.
