Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Mechanical Fitter role based in Sonipat , India. The Mechanical Fitter will assemble, install, align, and fit mechanical components and machinery according to technical drawings, specifications, and safety standards. Day-to-day responsibilities include inspecting equipment, diagnosing mechanical issues, performing routine and preventive maintenance, and repairing or replacing faulty parts. The role will also involve operating basic workshop tools and machinery, ensuring proper lubrication and adjustment of components, and keeping accurate records of maintenance and repair activities. The Mechanical Fitter will collaborate closely with supervisors and other technicians to minimize downtime, support continuous operation, and maintain a clean and safe work area.

Qualifications

  • Strong fitting skills, including assembly, alignment, and installation of mechanical components and machinery.
  • Experience with machinery operation, setup, and basic troubleshooting of mechanical systems.
  • Hands-on background in maintenance and preventive maintenance, including routine inspections and timely servicing.
  • Basic machining skills (e.g., drilling, grinding, cutting) to support repair and fitting activities.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, manuals, and technical specifications.
  • Understanding of workplace safety practices and safe use of tools and equipment.
  • Relevant technical qualification or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Fitter trade, or a related field.
  • Practical experience in an industrial, manufacturing, or workshop environment is preferred.
  • Ability to work in a team, follow instructions accurately, and manage time effectively.
