Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Mechanical Engineering Specialist role based in Ahmedabad. The Mechanical Engineering Specialist will design, develop, and optimize mechanical components and assemblies for the company's product lines, using CAD tools and engineering calculations. Daily responsibilities include preparing detailed drawings and specifications, reviewing design feasibility, and collaborating with cross-functional teams in production, quality, and procurement to ensure manufacturability and cost-effectiveness. The role involves troubleshooting mechanical issues on the shop floor, supporting prototype builds, and participating in testing and validation activities to meet performance and safety standards. The specialist will also assist in project planning, documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product reliability and production efficiency.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Mechanical Engineering, with proven experience in designing mechanical components and systems.
- Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools and ability to create detailed 2D drawings and 3D models.
- Demonstrated Analytical Skills for problem-solving, root cause analysis, and performance optimization.
- Effective Communication skills for coordination with cross-functional teams, documentation, and technical reporting.
- Basic Project Management abilities to plan tasks, manage timelines, and track progress on engineering activities.
- Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes, tolerancing, and relevant industry standards and safety regulations.
- Experience with testing, validation, and quality tools (e.g., FMEA, control plans) is an advantage.
- Ability to work on-site in Ahmedabad, collaborate with production teams, and adapt to a fast-paced industrial environment.
