Role Description The Mechanical Engineering Intern role is a full-time, on-site position based in Kochi. The intern will support the design, analysis, and validation of mechanical components and subsystems used in autonomous vehicle platforms. Day-to-day tasks may include creating and updating CAD models, assisting in prototype build and integration, conducting basic mechanical calculations and performance evaluations, and documenting test results. The role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams, participation in design reviews, and contribution to process and quality improvements. The intern will also help with project coordination activities, such as preparing reports, maintaining documentation, and supporting timelines under the guidance of senior engineers.
Qualifications
  • Candidates should possess strong Mechanical Engineering fundamentals, including mechanics, materials, and basic thermal/fluid concepts.
  • Candidates should possess Computer-Aided Design (CAD) skills, ideally with experience using tools such as SolidWorks, CATIA, or similar platforms.
  • Candidates should possess Analytical Skills for problem-solving, data interpretation, and evaluating design and test outcomes.
  • Candidates should possess effective Communication skills for collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and documenting technical work clearly.
  • Candidates should possess basic Project Management skills, including task prioritization, time management, and attention to detail.
  • Enrollment in or completion of a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline is preferred.
  • Familiarity with automotive systems, autonomous or electric vehicle concepts, and basic simulation tools (e.g., FEA, CFD) is an advantage.
  • Ability to learn quickly, follow safety and quality procedures, and contribute positively in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment.
