micro1 is engaging Mechanical CAD Experts to contribute to a customer project focused on advanced engineering assemblies. You will apply your expertise in mechanical engineering, CAD, assembly analysis, and technical documentation to evaluate complex mechanical designs and create precise question-and-answer content that helps train next-generation AI systems.

The role emphasizes technical accuracy, objective assessment, design intent, and the ability to translate complex engineering information into clear, well-structured technical content.

Responsibilities

• Analyze multi-part mechanical assemblies provided in native FreeCAD files.
• Develop a thorough understanding of component relationships, assembly structures, and overall design intent.
• Create objective, precise, and non-guessable question-and-answer sets for assigned assemblies.
• Develop multiple detailed technical questions covering mechanical functions, design rationale, and dimensional considerations.
• Ensure each question and corresponding answer is unambiguous and technically accurate.
• Align questions and answers with real-world engineering standards and practices.
• Review assembly information carefully to ensure responses are supported by the available design data.
• Deliver high-quality technical content within agreed project requirements and timelines.
• Communicate clearly with project coordinators to clarify requirements and resolve ambiguities.
• Collaborate effectively with a distributed team through written and verbal communication.

Required Qualifications

• Proven background in mechanical engineering, aerospace, industrial design, or a closely related field.
• Strong foundational and applied knowledge of CAD.
• Experience analyzing complex multi-part mechanical assemblies.
• Strong ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical design information.
• Ability to understand component relationships and mechanical design intent.
• Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail.
• Ability to produce precise, objective, and technically accurate documentation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage deliverables, and meet project requirements remotely.

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with FreeCAD.
• Experience with SolidWorks, CATIA, Autodesk Inventor, or comparable CAD platforms.
• Experience working with advanced mechanical assemblies.
• Background in technical documentation, assessment creation, or engineering content development.
• Strong understanding of engineering standards and technical communication.
• Experience translating complex technical information for different audiences.
• Demonstrated ability to identify ambiguities and inconsistencies in engineering content.
• Strong time-management skills and experience working in distributed teams.
