Mechanical Engineer

Role Description

This is a part-time role for a Mechanical Engineer. The role involves supporting the design, development, testing, and maintenance of mechanical systems and equipment to ensure operational efficiency, safety, and reliability. Responsibilities include assisting with technical drawings, conducting inspections, analyzing system performance, and supporting engineering projects and maintenance activities. The position also includes collaborating with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot mechanical issues, optimize processes, and improve product functionality. The candidate will contribute to equipment design, process improvements, quality control, and adherence to engineering standards and safety regulations. Additional responsibilities include preparing technical documentation, supporting installation and testing activities, monitoring equipment performance, and assisting with continuous improvement initiatives. The role requires strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage multiple engineering tasks effectively in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, systems, and equipment

• Familiarity with technical drawings, engineering documentation, and design processes

• Understanding of manufacturing, maintenance, and mechanical testing procedures

• Ability to analyze and troubleshoot mechanical and technical issues

• Familiarity with engineering software and mechanical design tools

• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills

• Knowledge of safety standards and quality control practices

• Strong communication and technical reporting skills

• Ability to manage multiple engineering tasks effectively

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
