Job Description

Mechanical Engineer

Location: Vadodara, Gujarat

Experience: 2 – 5 Years

Immediate Joiner

Role Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled and hands-on Senior Core Mechanical Engineer who can manage both mechanical hardware execution and design engineering activities. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of mechanical systems, fabrication, assembly, machine components, production coordination, troubleshooting, and practical engineering execution along with CAD/design capabilities.

This role requires ownership from concept to implementation — including hardware handling, mechanical design, vendor coordination, installation support, testing, and on-site problem solving. The candidate will work closely with electrical, robotics, operations, manufacturing, and field teams to ensure smooth execution of projects and products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle end-to-end mechanical engineering activities including design, hardware execution, fabrication support, assembly, installation, and maintenance.
  • Develop and modify mechanical designs, assemblies, fabrication drawings, and production-ready documentation using CAD tools.
  • Work on machine structures, robotic systems, fixtures, enclosures, mechanisms, mounts, sheet-metal parts, welded structures, and industrial hardware components.
  • Coordinate with manufacturing teams, vendors, fabricators, and suppliers for production, machining, material procurement, and quality control.
  • Perform hardware troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions for mechanical failures or performance issues.
  • Support prototype development, testing, installation, and field implementation activities.
  • Ensure proper selection of materials, bearings, motors, actuators, fasteners, pneumatics, and mechanical components based on application requirements.
  • Participate in product development lifecycle from concept, prototyping, testing, production, to deployment.
  • Conduct site visits and supervise mechanical installations, modifications, and commissioning activities when required.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including robotics, electrical, software, production, and operations teams.
  • Prepare and maintain BOMs, technical reports, maintenance records, SOPs, and engineering documentation.
  • Ensure designs and hardware setups follow safety standards, manufacturability, reliability, and cost optimization.
  • Mentor junior engineers and support technical decision-making during project execution.
  • Monitor ongoing mechanical activities and provide technical guidance during critical issues or breakdowns.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
  • 2 – 5 years of experience in core mechanical engineering, industrial machinery, automation systems, robotics, manufacturing, or hardware-based environments.
  • Strong practical knowledge of mechanical hardware, fabrication processes, machine assembly, and industrial equipment.
  • Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Creo, or equivalent.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes including machining, welding, sheet metal, fabrication, assembly, and mechanical fitting.
  • Knowledge of GD&T, tolerance stack-up, mechanical calculations, and design for manufacturability.
  • Hands-on experience with mechanical troubleshooting and field-level problem solving.
  • Experience handling vendors, production teams, and installation activities.
  • Understanding of pneumatic systems, actuators, motors, bearings, linear motion systems, and industrial mechanisms.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and engineering specifications.
  • Strong communication, leadership, coordination, and project handling skills.
  • Self-driven and capable of managing tasks independently under dynamic work environments.

Nice-to-Have

  • Experience in robotics, automation, industrial machinery, or special-purpose machines (SPM).
  • Exposure to FEA/simulation tools.
  • Knowledge of mechatronics integration and sensor mounting systems.
  • Experience with rapid prototyping and on-site implementation.
  • Familiarity with ISO standards and industrial safety practices.
  • Prior experience leading mechanical teams or projects.
