Description:

Gujarat Flotex Private Limited is hiring a Mechanical Engineer to manage maintenance, installation and improvement of plant machinery at our textile manufacturing unit in Chhatral. You will work with production, electrical, utilities and vendor teams to keep machines running at high uptime, support expansion projects, and maintain safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and execute preventive, predictive and breakdown maintenance of production machinery and utilities
• Minimise machine downtime and improve equipment efficiency (OEE) through root cause analysis
• Supervise installation, erection, alignment and commissioning of new machines and plant expansion equipment
• Maintain utilities such as boilers, thermic fluid heaters, compressors, chillers, cooling towers, pumps and piping
• Coordinate with production, electrical and civil teams for smooth plant operations and project execution
• Maintain maintenance schedules, machine history records and checklists
• Plan and control spare parts inventory, consumables and critical spares
• Manage and guide maintenance technicians, fitters and contractors
• Evaluate vendors and contractors; prepare technical specifications, quotations comparisons and purchase requirements
• Verify measurements and certify contractor and vendor bills on time
• Monitor energy consumption and implement cost-saving and energy-efficiency measures
• Enforce safety, statutory compliance and good housekeeping, including pressure vessel and boiler regulations

Requirements

• B.E. / B.Tech / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (B.E. / B.Tech preferred)
• 5+ years in plant maintenance or mechanical projects, preferably in a textile or manufacturing industry
• Experience in machine installation, commissioning and plant expansion projects
• Good knowledge of mechanical systems: gearboxes, bearings, hydraulics, pneumatics, and rotating equipment
• Hands-on knowledge of utilities and process equipment
• Knowledge of AutoCAD, MS Office and maintenance documentation
• Good understanding of safety standards and statutory requirements
• Strong troubleshooting, team handling and vendor management skills

Good to have: Experience with textile machinery (weaving, processing, coating or finishing), thermic fluid heaters, ETP / utility mechanical works, CMMS / ERP, and preventive maintenance systems
