Company Description Sparrow Engineering provides industrial production facilities with technical support and on-site engineering services, helping operations teams install, modify, maintain, and improve the reliability of their equipment. The company offers preventive maintenance, field service technician deployment, automation and electrical support, equipment relocation and modification, and full line installation and commissioning, including essential spare parts. With a strong focus on safety and clear communication, Sparrow Engineering works to minimize disruption to ongoing plant operations. The team collaborates closely with OEM partners and plant personnel to function as a trusted extension of in-house engineering and maintenance staff, delivering practical, field-ready solutions.

Role Description The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for supporting industrial equipment and production lines through design, analysis, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement activities. Day-to-day tasks include developing and reviewing mechanical designs, preparing and updating CAD models and drawings, participating in equipment installation and modification projects, and providing hands-on support for maintenance and reliability initiatives. The role involves coordinating with field service technicians, OEM representatives, and plant teams to resolve mechanical issues, improve asset performance, and ensure safe, efficient operation. The Mechanical Engineer will also contribute to small R&D and optimization projects, assist with documentation and reporting, and support project planning and execution. This is a full-time, on-site role located in Haryana, India.

Qualifications

  • Strong foundation in Mechanical Engineering, including core principles and industrial applications.
  • Proficiency in Machine Design and Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for creating and reviewing mechanical components and assemblies.
  • Experience with Project Management, including planning, scheduling, and coordinating engineering activities with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to contribute to Research and Development (R&D) initiatives, testing concepts, and implementing design improvements.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
  • Experience in industrial plants, manufacturing, or equipment installation and maintenance is highly beneficial.
  • Knowledge of safety standards, reliability practices, and basic automation/electrical interfaces is an advantage.
  • Effective communication skills, ability to work collaboratively on-site, and readiness to engage in hands-on field work.
