Role Description This is a contract Mechanical Engineer role, based on-site in Ghaziabad. The Mechanical Engineer will design, analyze, and refine mechanical components and assemblies for prosthetic and assistive devices, using CAD tools and standard engineering methodologies. Day-to-day responsibilities include translating product requirements into detailed designs, performing calculations and simulations, building and testing prototypes, and collaborating closely with R&D, electronics, and product teams. The role also involves preparing technical documentation, supporting manufacturing handoff, and contributing to continuous improvement of existing products and processes. The engineer will manage tasks, timelines, and technical risks to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and meet performance, safety, and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

  • Strong foundation in Mechanical Engineering, including mechanics, materials, and manufacturing processes.
  • Proficiency in Machine Design and Computer-Aided Design (CAD) for complex mechanical systems.
  • Experience in Research and Development (R&D), including prototyping, testing, and iterative design.
  • Ability to apply Project Management skills to plan work, track progress, and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
  • Experience with medical devices, prosthetics, robotics, or mechatronic systems is highly beneficial.
  • Knowledge of relevant standards and guidelines for safety, reliability, and quality in engineered products.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and documentation quality.
  • Comfort working hands-on with prototypes, tools, and test equipment in a lab or workshop setting.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate in a multidisciplinary environment.
