About the Role
We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer (Freelancer) to support advanced AI evaluation and training initiatives focused on mechanical engineering concepts, problem-solving, technical reasoning, design principles, manufacturing processes, and engineering analysis.
In this role, you will work with AI-generated content related to mechanical engineering and help assess, validate, and improve the accuracy, quality, and reliability of AI-generated responses. Your expertise will directly contribute to the development of AI systems used in engineering education, technical assistance, industrial applications, and intelligent engineering workflows.
Responsibilities
- Create high-quality engineering deliverables addressing real-world mechanical engineering scenarios and technical queries.
- Evaluate and annotate AI-generated responses involving mechanical engineering concepts, calculations, design methodologies, manufacturing processes, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, materials science, and machine design.
- Review peer-generated deliverables to improve consistency and quality across AI evaluation projects.
- Assess AI outputs for technical correctness, engineering reasoning, clarity, completeness, and adherence to industry standards.
- Identify factual inaccuracies, calculation errors, flawed assumptions, safety concerns, or gaps in engineering logic and provide structured feedback.
- Support AI training and evaluation workflows involving technical explanations, engineering problem-solving, design analysis, and educational content.
- Contribute domain expertise to improve AI systems focused on engineering knowledge, technical decision-making, and industrial applications.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Strong understanding of core mechanical engineering subjects, including thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, heat transfer, machine design, manufacturing processes, mechanics, and materials engineering.
- Ability to evaluate technical content with strong attention to detail and engineering accuracy.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Familiarity with engineering tools and software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA, ANSYS, MATLAB, or similar platforms is a plus.
- Prior experience in engineering design, manufacturing, R&D, maintenance, quality engineering, or technical consulting is preferred.
- Ability to work independently in a remote, fast-paced environment.
