(6 days a week | 10 AM – 6 PM)

Note: Hands-on experience with Extrusion Machine Operation is MANDATORY.

• The final round of interviews will be held in-person at our factory location in Daman.

Position Overview

The Mechanical Engineer – Design & Maintenance will report directly to the Maintenance Manager and play a dual role—leading breakdown recovery and scheduled maintenance while also contributing to design improvements and prototype development. This role is ideal for a professional who enjoys blending shop-floor problem-solving with technical design work.

Key Responsibilities

Design & Engineering

· Conduct technical research and use CAD, CAM, and 3D CAD programs to plan and design product tools and components.

· Develop prototypes and test equipment in controlled environments to refine and improve designs.

· Oversee the development and manufacturing of physical prototypes for testing and validation.

· Document the design process, iterations, and test analytics.

· Manage project timelines, resources, and budgets for design-related initiatives.

Maintenance & Reliability

· Plan and undertake scheduled preventive maintenance to minimize downtime.

· Respond promptly to breakdowns; diagnose faults and repair mechanical equipment.

· Source and manage components, fixtures, and fittings required for equipment upkeep.

· Ensure all machinery, systems, and infrastructure operate optimally with minimal disruption.

· Conduct and oversee maintenance process audits to ensure compliance and efficiency.

· Establish and refine maintenance procedures and protocols.

· Train staff on correct equipment operating and maintenance procedures.

· Set, track, and report on maintenance KPIs.

Required Qualifications & Skills

· Education: B.E. in Mechanical, Production, or Industrial Engineering from a reputed university.

· Experience: 6–7 years in maintenance functions within a manufacturing unit.

· Mandatory Experience: Hands-on experience with extrusion machines (sheet/profile extruders).

· Industry Preference: Experience in the plastics manufacturing industry is highly desired.

· Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office, CAD software, and project management tools.

· Core Competencies: Strong grasp of engineering and design principles, best practices, and root-cause analysis.

· Soft Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
